Be it known that I, JOHANNES Vominiiuar, a citizen o't' Germany, residing at Duisleurg-Bleitflerich, Germany, have invented new and use'lul Improvements in l)isplay Apparatus, ot which the following is a specification.

In the accompanying' drawing: Figure l is a. front View of a vending; machine embodying my invention, and Fig. a section through the 'lront portion o1 said machine, on line 2--2, Fig. l.
The face plate l0 of a vending machine or similar' apparatus is provided with a central opening 1l adapted to be closed by a door 12 carrying lock 13. This door is hinged at s, to brackets 14 extending forwardly from the plate at one side of the opening, so that when the door is closed, it lies in a vertical plane directly in front of plate 10, (Fig. 2). To the right and left of door l2, there are secured to plate l0, U-shaped frames 15 which are closed on their outer sides and also on top and bottoni, but are open on their inner sides, viz1-the sides 'facing the door. l'Vithin each frame is received a slidable tablet 1G bearing an advertisement or other matter to be displayed. Tablets 1G occupy a vertical plane, coincident with that oecupied by theV door when the latter is closed, so that the latter, when locked, will constitute au abutment l'or the inner edges oit' the tablets and thusl eonline them within their frames. W hen the door is opened the tablets inav be readily withdrawn and changed.
i claim:
A display apparatus comprising a plate having an inner opening, a series 0f U- shaped iframes carried by said plate on opposite sides oit' the openingl and communieating with said opening, tablets within said trames, brackets projecting forwardly from the plate at one side of the opening', and a door hinged to said brackets and adapted to be projected across the inner edges et the plates.
