To all whom it may concern:
' Be it knownv that I, W. H. H. F'Bvn, of North Fryeburg, in the county of Oxford, and State of Mame., have invented a new and valuable Improvevment in SulkyHarrows; and I do hereby declare that vtion oflnyinvention.

My invention relates to that class'of narrows which y is used'. iu combination with sulky-wagons, and con' siste, mainly, inthe construction andnovel arrangement of devices, whereby the han-ow can be raised or lowered at the will of the operator.
The letter A, of the drawings, designates a sulky; B, a barrow, attached thereto by means of vfour short chains, o c', which meet at their upper ends, and are ca mnected to the wheel D by a traee'fchain, c, and sta p e, e.
The journals o! the-*shaft d of the-wheel D revolve in beds formed in the upper'ends of two perpendicular' bars, E E, rigidly attached to -the frame ofthe sulky.
l The wheel D is glwved in its rim for at least onehalt' of 'its circumference, and in this groove m-works the chain c.
To vthe lower part ofthe wheel D is pivoted a counesting-rod, h, whose other cud is pivotedfto the lever N near its fulcrum in lits lower end.

What I claim as myyinvention,and desire to secure by Letters Patent, ise- Thefsulky-harrow herein described, having sulky A, harrow B, wheel l), lever N, pitman h, chains c, and c', and r, blockLP, brace S, staple e, spring'V, keeper Z, and adjustable seat K, arranged to operate sub-4V stantially as set forth auddescribed.
