IMPROVEMENT IN PLUG-CUTTER The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the lame.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, MELVIN J mens, of Wallace,

I in the county of Steuben, and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Bit and Plug-0utters; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof,

reference being had to the accompanying drawings,

and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification,

The nature of' my invention consists in the construction and arrangement of a bit and plug-cutter, as will `he hereinafter fully set forth.

In order to enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains, to make and use the same,

The screw al, at the same time, secures the adjustable guide B to the h'ead A.

This guide, the peculiar shape of which is shown in fig. 1, is slotted, and through this slot the screw a1 is passed into the, head A, so that the guide can he moved up and down at pleasure.

On the opposite side from the guide-B, the cutter D is secured to the head A, by means of the screw a, which cutter marks and cuts the circumference of the hole. i

The combination of the bit-stock A, bit b, adjust able guide B, `and cutter '.D, all'constructed and arranged substantially as shfownhand described. i
