More. particularly stated, my invention comprises a combinational device partaking,

to some. extent, of the characteristics of a walking cane, a ti re or portion thereof representing a can idate and adapted to be mounted upon the cane for-use as a ha die, this figure being hollow and provided with means whereby it may be used as a/horn;

the figure being detachable from the cane in order to be sounded independently of the cane.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings forming a part of this specification, in which similar characters of reference indicate corresponding parts in all the figures.

A tubular member 4 open at its bottom end 5 has generally the form of a walking cane and is provided at its upper end with two bayonet slots 6. I

A figure 7, representing preferably the head and face of a politician, is provided with a tubular portion 8 fitting neatly into the tubular member 4 and provided '"Wll'll pins 9' -which extend outwardly through the bayonet slots 6. The figure 7 is provided with a wall 10 which is engaged squarely bythe upper end of the tubuiar member 4. A mouthpiece 11 extendst-hrough the top of the figure and is provided inside of the figure with an enlarged portion 12 supporting a fan 13. Adjacent to this fan are slots 14, the casing. provided with its slots and, the fan together constituting a siren. By blowing into the mouthpiece 11, the siren makes its characteristic sound.

The operation of my device is as follows: The parts being assembled as indicated 'in Fig. l, the operator grasps the figure 7 with his hand and uses the entire device somewhat after the manner of an ordinary walking cane. If, now, he desires to sound the siren, he places the mouthpiece ll in his mouth and gives a hard blow.
