Be it known that I, HASGAL T. AVERY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Flushing, borough of Queens, city, county, and State of New York, have invented Imrovements in Oalendar=Pads, of which the ollowing is a specification.

My invention relates to. a calendar pad as a new article of manufacture, and the ob.- ject thereof is the provision of a calendar pad comprising a plurality of separable slips or sheets, each bearing a date or dates and on any one or all of whichdetachable sheets a printed statement is contained, constituting the same a coupon representing a specified cash value, good after a certain date, in the purchase of advertised merchandise, as will be hereinafter more particularly described.

Referring to the drawings, the sheets of paper or other material of which the calendar pads are composed, have printed thereon a monthly calendar as indicated in Fig. 1, and in which instance a dozen of such sheets, each containing the calendar for one month in the year, are suitably secured together to form the annual calendar pad, whereas as is indicated in Fig. 2, each sheet contains a calendar for a week in the year and necessitates the use of fifty-two sheets being employed and suitably secured together to comprise an annual calendar; as illustrated in Figs. 3 and 4, the calendar pad may comprise a' sheet for eaclf day in the year; also as is illustrated in Fig. 1 and according to my invention, each of the sheets comprising the annual calendar has. rintedthereon a statement substantially in the following language: This coupon presented after the last date hereon entitlesthe holder to one X cigar free with a 25 cent purchase of X cigars and each of the sheets of the weekly calendar may also be made a coupon by having printed thereon a statement in substantially the followinglanguage: This coupon presented after the last date thereon entitles the holder to one X cigar free with a dollars purchase of X cigars. Thirty of these conpons presented together after the dates thereon entitles the holder to one X cigar free with a twenty five cent purchase of X cigars on each coupon, and, as is indicated in Fig. 4, only certain of the slips of paper comprising the daily calendar pad may be made coupons'by having printed thereon a statement in substantially the following language: This coupon presented after the date hereon, entitles the holder to one X cigar ,free with a three dollars purchase of X cigars From the foregoing, it will be apparent as hereinbefore stated, the object of my invention is to provide a calendar pad in which certain of the slips thereof are constituted a coupon of value by having printed thereon a suitable statement and that the same may be varied within the limits of equivalents, without departing from the nature and spirit of my invention.

I'claim as my invention:
