ADVERTISING DEVICE.
Specification of Letters Patent P t t d Oct. 12, 1909.
Application filed November 3, 1906. Serial No. 341,951.
Be it known that I, CLARENCE A. MYERS, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city and county of Camden, State of New Jersey, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Advertising Devices, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates 'to a new and useful advertising or amusement device and consists in mountinga lens and reflector upon a support in order that the reflection therein will conform to a figure or other design placed upon said support.
In the drawings I have shown a card or' other support having thereon the representa tion of a figure of a woman with a tennis racket in her hand and an opening therein, the same being occupied by a lens and a reflector whereby when a person looks at the place of the opening his or her face appears therein preferably reduced-so. as to complete the figure, but it will be evident that other figures or designs may be placed upon the card and that the support or card may be in another form from that shown and I donot, therefore, desire to be limited in every instance to the exact construction as herein shownand described.
Figure 1 represents an elevation of an advertising or amusementflevice embodying my invention. Fig. 2 represents a sectional View on line m-m, Fig. 1.

.Referring to the drawings :1 designates the card or support upon which, as above stated, I have shown the representation of the figure of a woman, having the features thereof cut away as at 2, in the present instance in circular form. In the cut away portion,'I mount a lens 3 having. a reflector 4 behind the same, which conforms in the present instance to the shape of the opening and which is a reducing mirror, as will be seen.
By reasonof the construction described when used, by looking into the reflector, the face of the observer will appear therein in such suitable relation to the figure, that the size of the face and the features, will conform to that of the figure, so that it will appear as if the face of the observer is part of the design, or in other words the face of the figure will be that of the observer, the effect of whi'chwill be evident.

1. In a device of the character described,
