IMPROVE!) AUTOMATIC TONGS.

Be it known that l, RFUS M. EASTMAN, of Bosthe jawsclosed; and Figure 1, a representation of the same, partially opened.v y
The instrument may be made of woorl, or other suitable material, and may be of any required size.
In fig. 1, the stationary part A forms, at one end, the lower jaw of the tongs c, the other end forming the handle e.

It may also be provided witlra spring, for either opening or closing the jaws,thereby necessitating but one motion of' the thumb when using.l
