A further object of the invention is to previde a toy wagon in the form of a circus` suoli as a. lion which will travel around die l wagon when the wagon isdrawn forwardly so as to give the appearance of eireus wagon.
A still further object of the a lion within a 'l invention is to toy which is so constructed and cifnneced to the axle of the wagon that a positive drive will be obtained so that the ligure will vbe moved as the toy is drawn forwardly.
A still further object of the. invention is to provide the body of the wagon willi a pla-, form having an oval shaped slot formed therein in which is adapted to travel the connecting members of the base. of the. ligure toy.
vit-h these various objects in view, my instruction hereinafter described, pointed out in the claims and shown in t he aceomimnying l drawings, in whieh-- Figure l is a perspective view of my improved toy. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section of the same. v Fig. 3 is a plan view. Fig. t is a detail perspective view of the base of the toy ligure.'
In carrying out .my improved invention, l employ a. wagon body A which is mounted the front axle B being provided with a tongue D for drawing the toy.v Mounted on the body A is a platform E which is provided with an oval shaped slot E', the oval shaped i central portion formed by the slot being supl ported b va cross bar il which is provided with notches Ai registering with the slot for a purpose hereinafter described. (lross bai g l" and G are carried by the body through I which extend shafts F, "1 which extend l through thel central portion of the platform. These shafts are secured in position by any suitable means and mounted thereon be-l Specification ofrLetters Patent. .Appiicaaon filed August 24.

tween the platform and cross bars are double pulleys ll and l having flanged lower rims il. lf. 'l'he shaft extends down below the ross lar and has secured on its lower end a grooved pulley l oir which is mounted a ll ;\:ibl:.\belt li which is twisted and passes over a pulleyl secured to the rear axle (l so that when the wagon is moved forwardly or oacltwardly, the straft will be rota ted which will cause the pulley ll to be ro- Mounted on the pulleys ll and l are.
)d to which are conczitending pins Ncl' a l base which is mounted on the platform -wagon in which is inovably mounted a ligure l l over the slot and carries a ligure toy such as a lion as shown. it will be seen that by this arrangement the lion will be carried around the oval slot by the pulleys M in a forwardly or rearwardly diieetion according i on the platform at the corners and are adapted to be. turned over the lower traine of the age when arranged thereon so as to securely lock the cage in position on the platform so that it can be quickly removed it' desired by swinging the angled ends from over the frame. l t will be seen that by this arrangement, the cage. can be readily de ached and the wagon used without the saine it desired It will driving belts a positive drive will be obtained as all slack in the belt will be taken up so :is to prevent the belt .trein slipping on the pulleys. Y
From the foregoing seen that l have provided a very novel toy give the appearance of a lion traveling around a. trying to gety out of the saine when the wagon is drawn toiv` wardly.
Having thus fullydeseribed niy invention, what I elaiin as newand desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
l. A. toy eoiiipiising` a wagon having a platform mounted thereon provided with a curved endless slot` a ligure toy mounted on said platlorin provided with pins extending saio' pins for voperating said ligure toy said means being operated bythe movement of the wagon.
