IMPROVEMENT IN PRUNING-KNIFE.'

To all whom 'it may concern.-
a pruningkniie with a bar or 4link, constructed substantially is the manner hereinafter set frth.
To enable others skilled in the art to which my inventionlappertains, to make and use the'same, I will now describe its construction and operation.
In the accompanying drawings- A A' represent twov metal hars, provided at their lower ends with handles, B B, and at their upper ends with curved knives, as seen at a. a.
It will be seen that the curve on A is sharpened on' its outer surface, while the curve o'n A is sharpened on its inner surface, the object of which will be hereinafter fully described.
The bar A is formed with a slot, vb, near the curve a. Through this slot 'is passed the 'rivet' c, which is secured 'to bar A.
D is a metal bar,`formed at one end with a knife, as seen at d.
Y This bar is pivoted at its upper end to the bar A, and its lower end to the bar A.
By this arrangement the bar A is made to have a downward cut. i
I do not, however,rclaim this feature as new, as the same thing has been done before.
