the housing 1 as shown at '11 and is also supported adjacent the hooks 9 by'means of pivotpins 12 extending into eyes 13 formed within the rock bar. An arm 14 extends upwardly from the middle ortion of the rock bar and is normally hel in a predetermined position by means of a spring 15. This spring presses the arm 15 backward and the books 9 are therefore held normally; projected forward and into the path ofbar 7.
Hingedly connected to the slide 7 is a kneading board 16 having COuHeCDed braces 17 hinged to the bottom face thereof and also to the-base of the housing. The parts are so proportioned that when the slide 7 rests upon the bar 6 the kneading board will assume a position within the upper portion of the housing, the inner or working face of the board being protected from dirt, etc. by the back, top and sides of the hou the parts are in this position th races 17 When rest upon the outer or exposed face of the "1;,
A handle 18 is secured to the forward or upper edge ortion of the board 16 and when l 1t 1s desire to set up the board for use the handle is pulled outwardly and downwardly.
and the slide will move upwardly-between the cleats 4 and 5. The beveled faces 8 will thus be brought against the hooks 9 and will push them backward until the slide passes above the hooks whereupon they will swing forward under the slide. and support it. The
The braces 17 will therefore swing forward board 16 will therefore be l'oc ed in a horiready'for use. To fold the device the arm 14' is pulled forward against'the braces or spring 15 and by reversing the foregoing operationthe parts can be caused to fold What is claimed is:
A device of the class describe 1 comp a housing, the housing, a slide extending transversely of the housing and having -its ends movably mounted between the guides, said slides having beveled portions adjacent the endstherezontal position and means integral therewith, and normally in the path of the beveled portions for automatically engaging said portions when the slide rising parallel guides upon the sides of -of, a rock bar j ournaled within the housing,
