The object of Vmyinvention is to produce 'a card-stand for holding fancy post-al cards,

and like articles, for both the use of lstores and private homes and any placewhere suchV cards are stored, which shall be so convenient and at the same time, so cheap that it may be within the make useof it. Y

To attain said desirable ends I construct my said device in substantially `the following manner, namely: l providea base a provided with a central boss ci from the center of which rises an iron rod or stein Z) 'threaded and provided with anut c. Around said stem are placed four identically alike channeled uprights, each formed of a back f and two flanges g having a series of slots f2. The slots are spaced apart according to thesize of the goods the said shelves are'to hold. Said shelves consist of two bottoms h which are connected by central double walls a connected byV an arch hf, and outer Vwalls z', all integral with the part lh, andintothe front or outer ends of said arch iscut a slot 0 into which is received the U-shaped channel-bar y' provided with bosses or projectionsc integral therewith, as clearly shown inFigs.

j Ally intermediate shelves are of the same construction `as the end shelves, the only difference between them being that the intermediate shelves consist ,of two end shelves placed back to back, thus facing in opposite v directions, as shown in Fig. 1, and united by special elements as shown in Figs; 6 and 7. The openings at each end of the central part are closed by plates CZ and e which are 'pro- ,videdl with central holes d. The plate Z turns on the boss aA and carries the structure `above it. The flanges c' hold the cards 'l' from falling out and the bar dividesV the assortment on the shelves. The hole in the top plate e fits closely to the rod b and the nut c holds the two parts, stand and shelves, together. The latter revolving freely on said stern and, thereby, making all parts easily and equally accessible. The flanged plates f, soldered at their meetingedges, form a pillar from which radiate the shelves, and their flanges g hold the inside ends of the cards r.

What I claim is:
