ADJUSTABLE FLOWER-STAND.

To all whom it mag concern: I Be it known that LFRED H. Moonn, a citizen of-the United States, residing at Lansdowne, in the county of Delaware and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in 'Adustable Flower-Stands, of. which the followmg is a IMyinvention relates to adjustable stands and particularly to adjustable flower stands.

More specifically, my invention relates to novel means for securing .the stand in adjusted position. I

The objectg'of my invention is to provide 'an adjustable flower stand equipped'with 1mrovedmeans for securely holding the parts in adjusted osition.

Further o jects of my invention are-to provide a device as mentioned which shall be easily and quickly adjusted, simple of construction and of lowcost to manufacture. Other objects appear hereinafter. With these objects in-view my invention consists generally in an adjustable flower stand comprising a base and a to disk rovided --wit telescoping vertica stan ard members and in means for securing said members in adjusted position whereby-both a ositive and a frictional lock is had.

, y invention further consists in various details of construction and arrangements of parts all as will be fully described hereinafter and particularly pointed out in the claims. To this end the walls of the recesses 8 are inwardly tapered or conical as shown clearly at 12 in Fi 4, and the collar 10 is formed frusto-conica to fit snugly therein. When the screw is turned to the right, forcing the collar 10 within one of the sockets 88, the-member 6 is drawn tightly against the member 5 forming a frictiona contact between their adja: cent faces. Having described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is: i

1. In a device of the class described, a base and a top disk in combination with a standard comprising telescopic tubular members secured to said base and said top respectively, the outer member having a, longitudinal slot and said slot having oppositely disposed substantially semicircular recesses arranged at intervals, a screw threaded into the inner tubular member and a collar on said: screw, the
