PARROT-STAND.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Jan. 19, 1909.
Application filed September 1, 1908. Serial No. 351,260.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Orro LINDEMANN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Stapleton, Staten Island, in the county of Richmond and State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in Parrot-Stands, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a parrot stand having a tray which can be removed for cleaning or other purposes without removing the perch for the bird.
The above invention is set forth in the following specification and claim and illustrated in the annexed drawing, in which:
Figure 1 is a front elevation of a parrot stand embodying this invention. Fig. 2 is a front elevation of a modification parts being broken off. Fig.- 3 is a section along line 0 1; Fig. 1. Fig. i is a section along line y 3 Fig. 2. Fig. 5 is an inverted plan view of a tray with supporter.
In the drawings the letter a indicates a base and b a stem or standard fixed in said base. To the upper part of this standard 6 is secured a connecting or union'piece 0. One or more branches (Z extending from said connecting piece support or carry feeding cups 6. The branches (Z are curved or shaped so as to clear the tray A perch or rod m is secured in place between or carried by the branch or branches (Z in any suitable manner. To the union piece 0 is further secured a stem h which serves for a purpose presently explained and which will be termed a clamping piece. To the under side of the tray is secured a tray supporter i which at its center fits over the clamping piece it. A thumb screw 70 serves to hold or clamp the tray supporter to the clamping piece and bus secure the tray f firmly in place. The tray f with supporter i can be removed from the standard by simply unscrewing or loosening thethumb screw is. The tray is thus removable for purposes of cleaning or otherwise without disturbing the bird or perch.
In the modification Fig. 2 one branch (Z is shown which supports the perch carrying the feeding cups.
An advantage secured by this invention is that when the branch or branches (Z are curved to clear the tray f excrements falling from the bird on the perch cannot fall on the branches (Z.
Now what I claim is:
A parrot stand comprising a base, a standard secured to said base, a connecting piece secured to the standard, a clamping piece on the connecting piece, a tray detachably mounted on the clamping piece, a branch secured to the connecting piece and a perch secured to the branch above the tray.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
J OTTO LINDEMANN. Witnesses Oscar LINDEMANN, CHARLES A. UHL.
