Be it known that I, CHARLES T. WrLKs, a citizen of the United States, residing at .Woodlawn, in the county of Jefferson and State of Alabama, have invented certain new and useful Im rovements in Advertisement Devices; and do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description .of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the .art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

My invention relates to improvements in advertisement devices, and the object of my invention is to rovide a cabinet for holding toilet paper w 'ch will automatically illuminate an advertisement and change advertisement as the handle is turned to deliver the 8. er from the cabinet or receptacle.

ith this object in view, my invention consists in the construction and combinations of parts as'hereinafter described and claimed.

Within the cabinet are brackets d for holding the shaft 6 of the paper carrying roll. Below the paper roll are located four rollers f g,h, and i, around which the strip 1' carrying the adver tisements passes. This strip is made of any suitable transparent or translucent material, such as tracing paper, for example, carrying the advertisements. Opposite the rollers g and h respectively, are guide rollers k and m, the four rollers g, h, k, and 111- being covered with felt.

Behind the strip 9' is an incandescent electric lamp 1', connected by wires .9 and t to the battery it. The axle y of the roller m ex tends out through the casing a and is pro vided with an operating hand wheel -v.

- In Fig. 3 a modification is shown, practically the only difference being that the strip of paper p asses down in the rear of .the lamp inst-eat of in front of it, and of course themotion of the strip 7' is in the opposite direction to what it is in the form shown in Fi 1.

'lhe, operation is as follows: The parts be ing in the position shown in Fig. 4, the user turns the hand wheel 1;, thus closing the circuit between the battery and the electric lamp, which is thereupon illuminated, ren dering risible the advertisement as shown in Fig- 1. A further turn of the handlev brings the arm a into contact with one of the sections y, interrupting the circuit and extinguishing the lamp, thus preventin the strength of the battery from running down, owing to constant use.
