In the drawings, we have shown two difbeamer, placed in proper position and supplied with white yarn of any description, which is wound around the yarn holding rods or members 23. This done, the warper beam is carried to the dye house and placed in the lower or stationary section of the jacket, the enlarged portions of the warper beam heads fitting between the inwardly extending spaced flanges 5 of said section. The upper section is then placed over the warper beam and fastened in removable position to the lower section by either of the methods described, or, in fact, it may be fastened in any other suitable manner.
\Ve will now describe an arrangement for dyeing the yarn. A horizontal pipe 25 communicates at one end with the vat or box 1, and at its opposite end with one portion of a suitable pump 26. A feed tube 27 is arranged in one of the warper beam heads at a point to communicate with the space surrounded by the yarn on the yarn holding rods or members. A pipe 28 has one end secured to the outer end of said tube and communicates at its opposite end with a portion of said pump. A pipe 29 communicates at one end with the lower section of the jacket and has a horizontal portion 30 arranged to extend over the box or vat and a vertical portion 31 con nected with said pipe 25 at a suitable point. A vertically disposed pipe 32 is arranged between the horizontal portion 30 of said pipe 29 and the pipe 28. A vertically disposed pipe 33 also is arranged as a connection between ) ipes 25 and 28 preferably at a point inward y of pipe 32. Pipes 32 and 33 are provided at suitable points with valves 34.- and 35, respectively, pipe 28 preferably at a point between said pipes 32 and 33 with a valve 36, the vertical portion of pipe 29 with a valve 37 at a suitable point, and pipe 25 also with a valve 38, preferably at a point inward of pipe 33. A threaded plug 39 is secured in a corresponding aperture or opening formed in the upper jacket member 6, the purpose of which will be disclosed.
In practice we first close valves 35, 34 and 37 and open valves 36 and 38. I/Ve then unscrew the plug from position and throw the pump in operation which draws the dye iquor from the vat or box 1 through the pi e 25 and pump it into the space surrounded y the yarn, on the yarn holding rods of the warper beam through the pipe and feed tube 28 and 27, respectively. The pump is kept in operation until the dye has reached the desired level in the jacket when the plug, 39, is again screwed in position. After the desired pressure has been obtained, valve 38 is closed and valve 37 opened. The dye is then passed through pipe 25 and thence through pipe 28 and the feed tube into the space surrounded by the yarn on the warper beam through the yarn into the jacket and out of the jacket through-pipe 29 back to pipe 25,
whereby a complete circulation of the dye through the yarn is established. This operation is continued as long as desired, and should the pressure drop from any cause and more dye be required, valve 38 is opened to draw more dye from the vat, and after the desired pressure has been secured, said valve is again closed. To reverse the flow of the dye, valves 36, 37 and 38 are closed and valves 35 and 34 opened, when the dye liquor is drawn out of the machine through pipe 2833 25- to the pump and from the pump is forced through pipes 2832 and 29 to the interior of the jacket.
From the arrangement disclosed it will be seen that a continuous circulation of the dye, either first through the yarn and thence out of the jacket, or lirst through the jacket and thence through the yarn, may be secured to secure a uniform dyeing of the yarn, and that a certain pressure may be maintained at all times.
From the foregoing description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, the construction and operation of the invention will be readily understood without requiring a more extended explanation.
Various changes in the form, proportion and the minor details of construction may be resorted to without departing from the principle or sacrificing any of the advantages of this invention.
Having described claim 1. In a dyeing machine, the combination of an open vat, a jacket arranged within the vat, said jacket comprising a lower stationary section and a removable upper section, a warper beam comprising a longitudinally disposed supporting rod, beam heads adapted to be arranged at the ends of said rod and a plurality of yarn holding members adapted to be arranged between said heads arranged in said jacket, with means whereby a continuous circulation of dye through the jacket may be established.

In a dyeing machine, the combination of an open vat, a lower stationary member having outwardly extending side flanges and two inwardly extending spaced flanges at each end arranged therein, a warper beam comprising beam heads adapted to be fitted between the inwardly extending flanges of said lower member and a circular series of spaced members arranged between the beam heads, an upper jacket member adapted to be arranged over said stationary member having side flanges to correspond therewith and inwardly extending spaced flanges at each end to correspond with and register with the inwardly extending flanges of the lower member, means for removably securing said upper section member in position, and means whereby a continuous circulation of dye through the jacket may be established.

In a dyeing machine, the combination of a hollow jacket comprising two separable sections each having outwardly extending side ilanges and two inwardly extending spaced flanges on its inner face at each end, a warper beam comprising a longitudinal supporting member, beam heads arranged near the ends cl said rods and adapted to be received between the inwardly extending flanges of the jacket sections, and a circular series of spaced yarn holding members arranged between the beam heads, with means whereby a continuous circulation of dye through the jacket may be established.
5. In a dyeing machine, the combination with an open vat, a hollow jacket of circular form in cross section comprising upper and lower separable sections each having outwardly extending side llanges and two in wardly extending spaced [langes on its inner face at each end, the inwardly extending flanges at either end of one section being adapted to register with the llanges at the adjacent end oi the other section, a longitudinally disposed supporting member, beam heads adapted to be received between the in wardly extending flanges of said jacket sections and having reduced portions on their inner laces, each having a circular series of sockets or recesses in one face, and a plurality of yarn supporting members arranged between said beam heads and having their ends received by the sockets or recesses in the re duced portions thereol with means communicating with the interior of the jacket at two points [or ell'ecting a continuous circulation ol" the dye through the jacket.
6. In a dyeing machine, the combination of an open vat, a hollow jacket comprising two separable sections arranged therein, a warper beam arranged in the jacket, means communicating at one point with the vat and at two points with the interior of the jacket, whereby a circulation oi dye through the j acket in one direction maybe established, and means for reversing the direction ol' llow ol the dye.
