This invention relates to curtain poles and brackets therefor, and one of the principal objects of the some is to provide it tubular sheet metal curtoin pole provided with it re silient opening tho-rein for clamping a supporting rod for the curtain.
Another object of the invention is to provide a curtain pole of simple construction to which the curtain can be readily attached without the use of rings or other extraneous means, and to provide it bracket of simple construction for supporting said ole.
hose and other objects may we attained by inconsof the construction illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which:
Figure l is o plsn View of the blank from which the curtain pole is made. Fig. 2 is 9.
side elevation. of the curtain pole complete;
Fig. 3 is an enlarged transverse section token through the pole on'line 3-3 Fig. 2. Fig. 4 is o similar view taken through the pole and through the sustaining rod on the line 4 t, Fig. 2, the curtain being shown in clotted lines. Fig. 5 is a longitudinal section of the curtain pole complete. Fig. 6 is :1. vertical section on the line 6-6, oi Fig. 7, showing the-curtain pole bracket. Fig. 7 is a. front eievotion of the cnrtein pole bracket.
Referring to the drawing for o more pen,

The "crech ets for the curtain pole comprises. body por tion 11 formed upon or provided with openings 13 for the fostenings 14, said body portion having on upwardly curved lip 15 and s. downwardly curved hinged member 16 is connected to the body portion 11 by means of asuitshle hinge 1?, ends set screw 18 passes through the mem her 16 and holds the some into engagement with the body portion 1 1.
From the ioreg'oing it wiil be obvious thst a. curtain pole inside in accordance with 11W slight cost; that the suriporting rings entirely dispensed with, and that the device may be produced at slight cost.
I. claim is: i
1. A curtain pole made from n. sheet metal blank having fingers irojecting from one edge thereof,-ssici blon being cent into tusecured to a. plate 12 l-ioving thus described the invention, what bular i'orrn onclpro'vided with e flaring opening and on inner circular portion to engage supporting rod.
2. A curtain poie formed from. sheet rnetsi T and comprising s. curved outer p ortion, a.
curved inner portion, fingers diverging from ens. inner portionend provided with butturned lugs or a. supporting rod for the curtain seated in curved inner portion of the pole.
.3. A curtain pole comprising s. curved outer portion, 12. curved portion, a. Wall connecting seio or and outer orti'on', and fingers pro}cctin n'om the inner portion tower the outer portion and provided with outtnrned lugs, in combination with s. our supporting rod, substantially es do the scribed.
