ToY all lcham it may concern: e Be it known that I, IRA LEWIS CONKLING, a citizen of the .United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new andy useful Improvement in Cigarette- Making Devices, of which the following is a specification.l

My lnvention relates to an 1m rovementl in cigarette-makingjdevices of lt ervariety ada 4ted to be conveniently carried in the i i poc et, and my primary object is to provide a simple construction of such a device, which will be reliable in operation.

Employment of the tube 23, While desirable, especially under some conditions, as when the paper .used is comparatively thin, is not necessary, and may be dispensed With. When thus omitted the cigarette is formed in the folloWin manner: The paper is applied to the -tu e 19 and the latter slipped on the innermost tube 10, as above de scribed.
