THORNE, of Syracase, in the county of Onondaga, and State of New l York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Devices for Ironing Puiiing; and I do hereby declare the following to be a fuii, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the saine, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making part of .this speciiication. y

Tbe nature of my invention consists inthe use of f an i1on'(or other metal) bulb, constructed as hereinafter. stated, resting on Va standard, and made remov.- able, forbeing heated.
To construct my invention, make a hemv base, A, and standard, B, of cast-iron, having the upper end of the standard B made square, as shown at C.
The bulbs L) may be made of any convenient size or form, to suit the width of the pni' to be honed; that is, they may be made round or oval.
To use the invention, place the lnlb D in a position to be heated, then place it by the mortise upon the sqnared'end of the standard B, and, after the puing has been moistened, it may be readily ironed by drawing it lengthwise over the bulb. y W'hat Ichi-iin in the device for ironing puffing, as. my' invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-f The removable bulb D, constructed and operating as described. l A.
