The object of my invention is to provide a new and improved side-frame construction for ear trucks Referring to the drawing, 1 designntim the side-' I from one another.

A characteristic and important feature of the present invention'is the means for connecting the axle-boxes with the side frame whereby the said boxes and frames may be readily connected and disconnect-ed In the drawing I show two forms of commotion, both formsi, however, have means formed integral with the nxle-boxes nil-opted to engage menus formed on the SideJ'runie.

The axle-boxes in this form :ire provided with a top wodging-member 8 and with a lower .cngaging flange 9. 1. In it side-frame construction for car-trucks, the combination with n-sido-frmne proper. of independent axle boxes. connecting-means formed integral with the sidefrnmc, a wedge-shaped member formed integral with each adapted to coopernto to lock the boxes to the side-frame.
