Be it known that I, ALBERT A. ALBRIGHT, a citizen oi theUnited States, and a resident of the city of Muncie, in the county oi Delawareand 'State of Indiana,. "have invented'a new and useful Sign, of which the iollowing is a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in signs, and
. hasior its object to provide a device of this -kind where- 'by a movement may be imparted to the characters y composing the sign so that a 'peculiar andfascinating appearance thereof is obtained.

By'virtue' of 'the novel andingenious construction and conformation and adaptation of the signlbody,
such air-current as may be moving thereabout -Will be `gathered and utilized by the pockets F and the revolution of the sign-body'will result, the rapidity and direction of the revolutions varying 'with the amount and direction of theycurrent stirring. The vertical center line of the plates A,4 also the center line of thelettering, beingeccentricto the boundary lines of the signbody, a peculiar illusion is produced by the revolution of` the sign-body, the characters borne on the threeseparate facesor plates being brought succes- ',sively to the vie'w of the observer. The illusive effect is produced whether tlie sign-body is revolving slowlyor rapidly; atthe same time the sign is nevel rendered indistinct or difficult to read. I

What `I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent is-` 1. ln a sign, the .combination with a support, -015 abriS- maticbody pivotally mounted thereon, the sides of the saidl body being concave and there being loutn'rardly ex tending wings at the edges or said body each disposed at an acute angle to the sides, substantially as described.
