By turning the said nut '7 in one direction or the other, the opening or space 2 between the jaws may be regulated to suit the size of nut or Work for which the Wrench is to 4be adapted; Upon backing the T lock by means of the set nut 15, the handle is claimed as new 1s:

1,3 In a Wrench, the combination of a head having a nut receiving opening and provided with a space intermediate of its sidesand having corresponding notches in the edges of said sides, a handle arrangedwithin the space of the head and pivoted to the latter, a T lock iitted in an opening of' the handle and comprising a cross head adapted to en gage corresponding notches in the edges of said sides, a threaded stem, and e, set nut arran ed in the openingof the T lock to admit o adjusting thelatter.

2; In a Wrench, the combination of a head provided .with cooperating jaws and having' a space forming sides, the latter having corresponding. notches in their outer edges, a handle having an end portontted in the space and pivoted to the sides of the heaf'. T lock iitted in an opening in the handle and comprising adog .and a threaded stem, the ends #of the dog projecting beyond opposite sides of the handle and adapted to enter selected notches of the aforesaid sides, a platte closing a side of the opening in the handle to retain the T lock in place, and a set lock mounted upon the threaded stein of the T lock for adjustment thereof.

The herein described wrench comprisimgr a head of approximately circular forni having an edge portion removed to forni a 1fixed jaw and having a space to provide side pieces and having corresponding notches in the edges of said side pieces, a movable jaw fitted between the side pieces and having interlocking connection therewith and. provided with a threaded stern, aA set nut mounted upon the threaded steln of the movable j aw and fitted in a transverse opening o'thc head extending,r through the outer'faces of said side pieces, an operatingr handle pivoted between said side pieces and having an opening,y therein, a Tlock mounted in the opening of the handle and comprising legga threaded stem, the ends of the' dog `projectingr beyondopposite sides of the handle to enter selected corresponding notches in the sides of the head, a set nut mounted upon the threaded stelnof the T lock for adjustment thereof, and a plate for closingr the side of the opening in the handle .receiving the T lock to retain the latter in place.
