vention are to devise certain changes to perfeet the construction and increase the advantages over my invention shown and described in my United States Patents, numbers 749,126,-da ted January 5, 1904; and 724,97 7, dated April 7,1903, respectively; in which I have. shown my inventions as a means for displaying clothing; and inthis particulardevice I provide a means by which a number of trousers may be suspended 1n uniform position, and contained within the wardrobe, and be withdrawn therefrom for removal or examination.

My invention consists of a suitable rack provided with a series of removal hangers, and is also adapted to be withdrawn from the interior of the wardrobe and turned up to further facilitate the displaying of the garments. I I

Slidably carried in the rackf is an extension rack i. The side bars of the rack i, are formed with a flange 7c, adapted to engage in the groove 72. The rack i is adapted to be extended in a forward direction from the front end'of the rackf, and is provided with a cross bar Z, to be used as a handle by which it may be slid outward and inward; and also as a brace to maintain the front ends of the side bars j together. Formed and extending inward from eachof the side bars of the rack 'i, are flanges m, and formed on the top faces of each of the flanges m, is a rib'n.

Carried on the rack'i are a series of removable hangers u, such as is shown in Fig. 4 of the drawings. The hangers u are formed that the center part provides a bar on which the 9 trousers may be hung, and at each end of the bar is a square shaped end 1),- and formed in the underside of each ofthe ends, 12, is a roove w, adapted to engage with the rib n, ormed on the top face of the flange m.

Formed in the top face of each of the ends 1) of the hangers u, is a pocket 1 adapted to loo - contain a price or size ticket 2. One end will be preferably used for the price ticket and the opposite end for the size ticket.

, When it is desired to remove any pair of trousers from the rack, the hinged bars as are turned up, and the hanger u containing the partlcular pair of trousers to be removed is lifted from oif the rack i; and when it is desired to replace any hanger with or without a pair of trousers attached, it will-be slipped on from the front end of the rack, and the remaining hangers on the rack will be pushed up to close, the gap made; by the removed hanger, so that the hangers will always maintain their proper position on the rack. By folding in the hinged bars a; a ain, the hangers will be held in position wit the rack that it may be turned up Without allowing any of the hangers from becoming misplaced.

, Attached to the hanger bars u are supplementary hangers u", on which may be hung a smaller size of trouser or waistcoat. The upper half of the cabinet is adapted to be fitted with a device on which may be hung coats-or waistcoats,or forany other suitable purpose.

I't will-be distinctly understood that this means of displayin trousers may be arranged in any suita 'le cabinet, counter, or silent salesman. I

Slight modifications may be made, in the construction and attachment of the several parts without deviating from the nature of my invention.

What I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. In a clothes wardrobe, the combination with the interior of a cabinet, ofaseries of brackets fastened to the sides of said cabinet, a supporting rack having carrying arms' engaging with the said brackets, an extension rack slidably engaging with said supportin with theinterior of a cabinet, of a series of brackets fastened to the sides ofsaid cabinet, a supporting rack having carrying arms enga in with said brackets, an extension rack slidab y engaging with said supporting 'rack,

flanges formed on the inner'sides of said extension rack, ribs formed on the top faces of the said flanges, a series of hangersremove ably mounted on said flanges, grooves formed in the under faces of said hangers,

said grooves adapted to engage with the said ribs, inward folding bars hinged with the sides of said extensionrack, said bars havin notches formed along their inner edges, sai

. notches adapted tov engage with said hangers, a frame hinged to the inner end of said extension. rack, and a cross bar fastened across the front ends of said extension rack,

substantially as described.

3. In a clothes wardrobe, the combination with the'interior of a cabinet,.of a series of brackets fastened to the sides'of said cabinet,

a supporting rack having carrying arms engaging with the said brackets, an extension rack slidably engaging in grooves formedin the side bars of the said supporting rack, flanges formed on the side bars of the said extension rack, a series of hangers removably mounted on the said flanges, aframe hinged to the inner end of said extension rack, said frame adapted to slide in said supporting sides of said extension rack, said bars havingnotched edges adapted to engage with the 1 rack, inwardly folding bars hinged to the said hangers, an adjusting bar pivotally connected with the said supporting rack,- arms formed on the ends'jof said adjusting bar, said arms adapted to engage innotches formed-in the underside of the side bars of said extension rack, substantially as described.

4. In a clothes wardrobe, the combination with the interior of a cabinet, of a suitable supporting rack supported therein, of an ex-- tension rack slidably enga ing in said supporting rack, a frame hinge to the inner end of said extension rack, a series of hangers removably extending across the said extension rack, pockets formed in the ends of said hangers, marking tickets contained in the said ockets, hinged side bars engaging the top aces of the said hangers, an adjusting bar pivotally connected with the said supporting rack, arms extending from the said adjusting bar, said arms adapted to en age with notches formed in the underside o' the sidebars of the extension rack, said adjusting bar adapted to support the extension rack in an inclined position with the said supporting rack, substantially as described, Signed at Toronto, this 14th day of May,
