FRICTION OR MASSAGE APPLlANOE.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented April 23, 1907,
Application filed February 6,1906. Serial No 299,681.
To all whom it 'nuw cm cern:
Be it known that I, lVILLIAM BLEAKLEY, a subject of the King of Great Britain, residing at Leeds, in the county of York, England, have invented a certain new or improved Friction or Massage Appliance, and of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to an improved friction or massage appliance of a simple and eflicient character, particularly for use as a drawings, which show a friction or massage appliance of the form hereinbefore referred to; wherein Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4 are respectively a side elevation, a plan, a sectional side elevation, and a sectional plan of the appliance.
In the drawings, the appliance comprises two hexagonal shaped iriction-rollers 1 formed with central holes 2- direetly through them in the direction of their length, which rollers 1 are connected together and distanced apart by means of two end frames 3 each formed with two inwardly turned spindles 3 which take into the holes 2 of the said rollers 1 (as shown at Fig. 3), so that the said rollers 1 are capable of rotation on the spindles 3 of the end frames 3; while the end frames 3.
themselves are connected together by means of an elastic band 1, whereby the parts are retained in engagement with each other.
By having the rollers 1 of a diameter greater than the thickness of their connecting frames 3, the latter do not in any way interfere with the rotation of the said rollers l while by forming the appliance in separate parts and connecting the said parts together elastically in the manner hercinltefore described, the appliance may le readily disconnected for storage or other purposes.
What .i claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. A friction or massage appliance comprising in combination, two polygonal rollers having tubular ends, two end il'rames with their free ends made parallel to pass into the ends of the rollers and form pivots therefor and a device extending between and parallel with the rollers and connecting said frames.
2. A friction or n'iassagc appliance comprising in combination, two parallel polygonal rollers having tubular ends, two end frames of wire bent for their free ends to pass into the ends of the rollers and form pivots therefor and a device extending between and parallel with the rollers in connecting said frames.
3. A friction or massage appliance comprising in combination, two parallel polygonal rollers having tubular ends, two end frames of wire bent so as to cause their free ends to be parallel, said ends being adapted to pass into the ends of the rolle' and form pivots therefor and an elastic band extending between and parallel with the rollers and connecting said frames.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two witnesses.
