Be it known that I, EORDIGE W. EDISO, of Po 4 Huron, in the county of'St. Clair, and State ofMichigan, hav'e invented a new and useil Improvement in HorsefShoes; and I do declare that thejbllowing is ay true and accurate description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, 'and tothe letters 'which are attached the ,springs C, which are designed to lie between the frog of the foot and the shell of the hoof, and press against said shell, thereby' constantly forcing out the heel-portion of said shell, and prevent ing the contraction of thefoot and the formation of corns.A A
In attaching the -snoe to the foot, the shoe should be forcibly closed, at the heel, upon the spring, slightly .l contractingsaid.spring until the shoe is nailed on and secured to the foot.Vv For this purpose a pair of pincers or any prcper clamp may -be used. y
