Be it known that I, WILLIAM C. Bunnv, a

' citizen'of the United States of America, re-

siding at Allegheny, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Trucks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the ac-y companying drawing. p I j This invention relates to trucks; and its dbject is to provide a truck especially adapted for use in bakeriesfor supporting and moving the large bowls employed in bread-making. I-Ieretofore it has `been a common custom in large bakeries 'to use empty barrels to sup- .port these bowls; but this is objectionable for the reason that the bowls must be lifted from the barrels and. carried by hand, the weight of the bowl and its contents vrequiring the strength of two workmen. A' further objection to the use of an ordinary barrel is that it is unsanitary, as any leakage from the bowls drops into the'barrel and the accumulation of dust and dirt in the barrel soon becomes offensive.

The present" invention aims to obviate these objections by providing a truck or stand -Which may b e readily moved about on casters and whichallows any d11'p,'overflow, or

leakage from the bowlto drop upon the floor, from where it can be easily removed.

The vinvention consists of a metallic truck orfstand so constructed as to provide alight but strong and durable support forv bakers bowls adapted to be readily moved along thel floor upon casters or rollers. l

The constructionl of the improved truck will befully described hereinafter in connection with the accompanying drawing, which forms a part ofthe specification, and its features of novelty will be set forth in the appended claims.

In the drawing, Figure 1l is a view in perspective of a truck embodying the invention with a bakers bowl in position thereon, Fig.

The reference-numerals l1 and 2 designate, res ectively, an upper and a lower ring, pref# era ly of cast metal, spaced apart and firmly secured together by a number of-equidistant vertical supports'S.- The upper ring 1 is concavo-convex in cross-section to provide an A .annular groove 4 on the under side of theI the moving about of the truck andbowl.

At equidistant points the ring l is formed with depending lugs 6, and the outer face of each of said lugs is formed with a recess l7 to receive the upper ends of the vertical supports 3, which are secured to the lugs 6 by bolts or rivets 8.

'Ihe construction above described provides a strong and durable support lfor bakers bowls, the ends of the uprights 3 being rmly lield against lateral play bythe side walls of the recesses 7 and 11.

Hav/ing fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. A truck, comprising an upper, and a lower, metallic ring, each formed with projecting lugs having,r recesses on their outer faces, vertically-alisposed supports fittingl ring having an annular groove on its under surface, and a fiared upper surface, lugs depending from said rin and formed with vertical recesses on t ieir outer faces; a lower ring provided with upwardly-projecting lugs vertically alined with the lugs of the upper ring, and formed with vertical recesses on their outer faces, in combination with a plurality of vertical supports fitting said recesses and secured thereto, and formed at their lower ends with outwardly-extending feet, and a plurality of casters secured to the under surface of the lower ring.
