IMPROVED IRONING-TABLE- The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, OPHELL-x C. HOTCH'KIss, ofCortlandville, county of Cortlandland State of New York, have invented a new and improved Table for Ironing Skirts and Dresses; and I do declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drmvings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
My invention consists of a table, the bed of which is formed of two tapering pieces, joined together by means of slides or dowels, d d, marked bed a and bed B. Bed B is so constructed that it can be readily detached from the bed a, and the frame c c' on which it rests.
Bed a is fastened at one end to frame c c by means lof a bolt or swivel-joint, -so that one end of bed a can be turned laterally from frame c c', to enable the dress or skirt to be placed thereon, and then returned to frame e c, wl1ere it is held in its place by means of block D', litting in a lnortise o1' its equivalent in frame c 'c'.
