To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRI PAUL illARTIN, i a citizen of the Republic of France, residing at Paris, France, have invented a new and useful Improvement 111 or Relating to Cvlinders for Internal-Combustion En 'ines and the Like, which improvement is fully set fort-h in the following specification.
This invention has for its; object a novel means of attaching the cylindenhcad ol internal-combustion engines and the like to the cylinder, such means consisting in screwing one end of it screw-threaded ring into the upper portion of the cylinder and the other into' the lower portion of the evlinder-hezul.
This novel arrangement allows the bolts and i nuts now in use to be dispensed with and allows a. perfect olnt between the cylinderhead, the cylin er, and its jacket to he ol)-' tained.
In the annexed drawing, a is the cylinderhezi'd; b, the-cylinder; c, the jacket; 61, the screw-threaded ring or sleeve.

The combinationv with the cylinder and its head having- :rlined apertures, one being i threaded, of a ring having a reduced threaded portion engaging the threaded aperture 1 to clamp the parts together. i 2.
