PAPERING-BOARD AND BUCKET-HOLDING ATTACHNIENT THEREFOR.
specification of Letters Patent.
atented Nov. 13, 1906.
Application filed February 12,1906. Serial No. 300,618.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EUGENE B. LAMB, a
- citizen oftheUnited States, residing at Portvof supporting the land, in the county of Cumberland and State of Maine, have invented` a new and useful Improvement in Papering-Boards and Bucket-Holding Attachments Therefor, of which the following is a specification. v
My invention relates to improvements in bucket-holding attachments for paperingboards and buckets therefor.
In the drawings herewith accompanying and making a part of this application, Figure 1 is an elevation of my improved device attached to a papering-board, the paperingboard and bucket being in section. Fig. 2 is a transverse sectionalview of Fig. 1, taken on line a; and Fig. 3 is a plan view of the bucket.
Same letters of reference refer to like parts.
In said drawings, A represents a paperingboard such as is usually employedby paperhangers. Removably and revolubly secured thereto is a bracket oomprising a horizontal arm B, vertical arm C, and a curved brace D. The bracket is suspended from the bottom of the board. For convenience it may be suspended upon a bolt E, passing through the board and provided with a nut F, as seen in Fig. 1. Thus constructed it will be apparent that the bracket may swing on the olt F as a pivot, so as to bring the bracket and the bucket suspended therefrom, as
hereinafter described, When not in use'entirely under the board, or when desired it may be turned on the pivot-bolt transversely of the board, bringing the bucket out from under the board. To the upright arm of the bracket the paste-bucket is secured in any convenient manner.
I have illustrated in the drawings a means aste-bucket which permits the bucket an the supporting means to be removed from the bracket. To do this, a spring-clasp G is secured to the Vertical arm of the bracket, the clasp being open at the top to g've entrance to the bucket-supporting ring H. The bucket-supporting ring should preferably be of a diameter to support the bucket at or above the middle thereof. The bucket I is provided on the inside near the top With loops J. A transverse bar K is supported in the bucket near the top.. Turned-down ends L take into the loops J and hold the bars in'place, said bars being for the purpose of supporting the pastebrush M When not in use. The bucket-supporting ring is detaohable from the clasp G and can be inserted in a clasp N, secured to the brace D, said clasp N being arranged so that when the bucket-supporting ring is placed therein the ring and the bracket l1e in the same horizontal plane.
The advantages of my improved device are that the paste is always handy, it is not liable to get upset, it can be turned at Will under the board or to one side thereof, it is conveniently removed from theboard and conveniently assembled with the board when not in use, and it is provided With means for supporting the brush out of the paste when not in use.
The bucket may be used on either side of the bracket, the outside position being shown in dotted lines in the drawings.
Having thus described my invention and its use, I claim- 1. The combination with a ape'ringboard of a bucket-supporting brac et revolubly secured to the under side thereof and capable of revolving in a plane parallel with the under surface of said board.
2. The combination with a pa eringboard, of a bucket-supporting brac et secured to the under side thereof and a bucketholding ring secured to said bracket.
3. The combination with a paperingboard, of 'a bucket-supporting bracket secured to the under side thereof and a bucketholding ring remov'ably secured to said bracket.
4. The combination With a paperingboard, of a bucket-supporting bracket, a bucket-supporting ring and two ring-supporting clasps, oneV adapted to sup ort the ring ina position substantially para lel with the board and the other in a position substan tially in the plane of the bracket.
5. The combination With a pa eringboard, of a bracket revolubly secure thereto, a bucket-su porting ring on said bracket, and a paste-buc et havmg 'abrush-supporting bar extending transversely thereof near the fn testimony Whereof I have signed my' name to this specification, in presence of two subscribing witnesses, this 31st day of J anu- IOC
