Description
' PATENTED SEPT. 18, 1906.
M. BLB.
BOTTLE HOLDER.
APPLICATION IILED NOV. 2. 1905.
. the King of Saxony,
I MAX ELB, OF DRESDEN, GERMANY.
BOTTLE-HOLDER.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Sept. 18, 1906.
Application filed November 2, 1905. Serial No. 285,654=.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MAX ELB, a subject of and a resident of Dresden, in the Kingdom of Saxony, German Empire, have invented new and useful Improvements in Bottle-Holders, of which the following is an exact specification.
My invention has for its purpose to provide a holderfor bottles containing liquids or materials to be discharged in small quantities, as food-spice and the like. The improved suspending or supporting device not only permits an easy discharge of small quan tities, but also gives stability to small bottles by enlarging their base. avoids uncleanliness and soiling of tablecovers by taking up any drops which may flow down.
The improved bottle holder or support consists of a base-plate of suitable shape and carrying two spring-mounted supports engaging at their ends with the bottle and permit it to be tilted or turned. Gravity causes the bottle to keep a vertical position.
In order to make my invention clear, reference is made to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 shows the bottle in side elevation, and Fig. 2 is a front view thereof.
In the drawings, a is a plate consisting of It furthermore any suitable material and carrying two bows or supports 0, of bent wire, secured to the base-plate a by means of hinge-straps b. The bows if not in use can be folded down upon the plate a, and will thus occupy only a small space. The bows c at their upper ends are bent inwardly? thus forming pivots d, standing opposite to each other and projecting into recesses (1, provided on the bottle a and forming bearings for the pins. Owing to the elastic nature of the bows or supports 0 the bottle can be easily put in the standard or taken out.
Having thus fully described the nature of this invention, what I desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is In a dispensing device a combination of a baseplate, spring supporting-arms secured to that base-plate by hinge-straps, a receptacle having sockets in its walls and inturned pivots on the upper ends of the spring-arms, engaging in the sockets on the receptacle whereby the receptacle may be tilted to pour out its contents, substantially as described.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two witnesses.
MAX ELB.
