This bag-holding shield or guard is preferably constructed of resilient sheet metal bent to form a scoop-like struc ture, the lower edge of which is provided with hooks 27, adapted to be inserted into the mouth of a bag, which latter is thus retained securely in position, the tendency of the shield member being to spring to a straight or flat position, thus retaining the bag securely upon the hooks 27. Having thus described the invention, what is claimed is 1.
