Be it known that I, WILLIAM DALTON, o
Schenectady, inthe county of Schenectady u and State of New York, have invented a certainnew and useful Improvement in Electrio-Motor Trucks, of which improvement the following is a specification.
My present invention relates to trucks for electric-motor cars; andits object is to provide a truck of such class in which the number of'boltconnections used shall be reduced as far as practicable and in which they shall .be so disposed. as to avoid liablhty ofinjury to .the truck by bolts working loose and not to necessitate close and perfectworkmanship .My invention is also designed to afford improved facilities for the support ofthe motor and of the brake-rigging.
The improvement claimed is hereinafter fully set-forth.

In the practice of m invention, I provide a truck-frame, each 0 the side members of whlch is formed in an integral casting or forging comprising a top bar 1, pairs of pedestal-jaws 1*, projecting downwardly therefrom, a bottom bar 1 connecting the two innor. pedestal- 'aws or those nearer the middle of the true vertical outwardly-flanged transom-posts 1", connecting the top and bottom bars adjacent to the transverse central plane of the truck, inner diagonal braces 1, extending from the top bar to the bottom bar between the transom-posts and the inner pedestal-jaws, and end diagcmal-braccs 1",
