T0 ALL WHOM IT MAY' CONCERN:
Be it known that I, CHARLES WILSON, of Clinton, Allegheny county, State of Pennsylvania, have invented an Improved Cider-Mill for grinding and pressing at one operation; and I do hereby declare the following to be an exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters'of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specification, in which- Figure l represents a top view of the mill, and
Figure 2 a side elevation.' Y
The nature of my invention consists in the arrangement' and combination of the devices as hereinafter described. "n
A represents the iron hopper, with spiral teeth or Crushers, B, on the inside, for crushing apples; and as the apples are crushed they are carried round by the endless-roller belt C, that is upright, andare pressed and crushed', the Arevolving bottom D driving the belt C by means of a band-wheel or crank, E, with a pinion, F, the endless belt C travelling on and against the upright circular framel G. H isa spout, to conductthe cider to the reservoir J', beneath. K is the frame that supports the devices.
I donot claim an endless-roller belt, for pressing the pomace or crushing the apples, as that has been heretofore used; but
What Ivclaim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The combination and arrangement ofthe endless-roller belt C, hopper A, revolving bottom D, and circular upright frame G, when constructed, arranged, combined, and operated as herein described, and for the purposes set forth.
. CHARLES WILSON.
