' which the following is a full, clear, and exact improved, simple means whereby a stopper of substantially the speci'cation.
My invention relates more particularly vto Stoppers for milk-bottles, usually composed other suitable'mate'rialcrowded into an 'annular groove surrounding the inner Wall of the mouth of' the bottle, andthe improve,-
ments have more. especial 'reference to the means for the extraction ofthe stopper. The object of the inventionis. to provide,v an eilicient, and inexpensive described character may be readily removed from the bottle Without damaging the `same, so that fit may be repeatedly used.
`VVith-aview to the accomplishment of the described object .and certain other objects- 2 5" which will hereinafter appear the invention consists inthe 'features -of noveltyT which will now be, described with reference to the ac-` companying drawi s, and more particularly pointed out inthe c aims. In the said drawings,"Figure stopper constructedaccording'to my inven tion. Fi 2 is a b ottom'plan view of the stop-V t y er, and ig.- 3 'is' a'topfplan roken away.
i isthe necksof ymman hangin@ afm? thereof par said -usualfannular groove -2 surrounding its inner wall at or neargthemouth ornpper end Such as llinen rffabri oran kind., and which is passed across vthe upper side of the s tlopperg.
thereof' and into-Winch groove the usual asteboard or other suitable disk stopper 3 is an extracting -device in-[suc a manner that when the requisite 1 1p'ward strainer pull is imparted theretoit vwill crowd one edge vof .the disk 3 inwardly or towardits center, thus dislodging it at that-point from the groove '2 and ermittin'g the-'stopper to be lifted' with-r out amaging it.
anditpreferably consists of a stripprv composed `'of any suitable flexible material,
