Be it known that I, DAvIo B. Around the-upper part of the repot is a space, -a, communicatin'g with` 'the iire-chamber of thel stove. This spae extends only' a. part of the d epth of the lire-pot,`(as represented, l`and, atthe bottornVa partition`, g, separates it fr om ane, b, of an annular shape, around thevlo'wer part of the fire-pot. i Through this partition 'a suitable number of ape'rtpresnc e, open, toallow. the draught to 'pass down around the re.pot into the annular ue b. In this due the draught circulates horizontallyaronnd the fire-pot, ndthence passes out at the.. back -of thestove intoa. pipe or line, d, which conducts it to the srnolre-pipef;- `In this passage around the fire'- potthe draught becomes highly heated, and causes the outer surfae of the stove',- around the ue to rad-iste i heat near the floor of' the oon'l.

The 4draught may be suitably regulated by dempers, so as to cause more Vorless lto pass through the Bue b, or all of it to pass directlyl out at the smoke-llu'ef, inthe usual way.

The construction of the ue b may vary in rrespect to size, to its extent around the peripheryof the lirepot, and the number and position of the apertures lending into it, i V

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The' annular horizontally-circulating flue b around the base of the fire-pot, and separated from the chamber above by a. perforated partition, g, substantially as and for the purpose herein specilied.'
