In Fig. 9 I have illustrated part of a corsetcover or underwaist t' and part of a corset (Z over which the same extends and have shown in connection therewith a flap Z3, which specifically forms the subject of an application for Letters Patent filed by me October 31, 1904, Serial No. 230,695, the same, with Figs. 10 and 11, showing the flap in larger size, being herein illustrated and described for the generic structure. This flap is, referring to Fig. 10, is'provided on the under side with the long tape 5 and the short transverse crossing tapes 0, connected to the flap, the same as hereinbefore described with reference to Figs. 1 and 5, and adapted for connection with the fastening devices of the corset-steels, as hereinbefore described with reference to the same figures.

The flap, Fig. 11, is provided with loops similar to the fabric section h, Fig. 7, and is to be connected to the corset-steel fastening devices in a similar mannner that is, by passing one or more of the eye members of the said fastening through one or both of the loops prior to connecting the eye member of the fastening to its complementary stud member on the other steel.

In Fig. 12, Z represents the fabric section of a hose-supporter of well-known character, to the back or under surface of which are secured the devices of my inventionthat is, the long tape 6 and the shorter transverse tapes 0 connected by lines of sewing, so as to form several loops in the tape 6, said loops being adapted for connection to the fastening devices of the corset-steels, as hereinbefore described.

From the foregoing it will be apparent that, regardless of the character of the undergarment or of the employment of my invention with a hose-supporter, the function performed is the samethat is, the undergarment isheld down and a riding-up tendency is prevented. The undergarment is also held centrally and a turning-around movement or displacement prevented. This is true with an application vention prevent the same from being moved 7 from side to side over the front of the corset either when the person sits down or by the pulling action of the supporter straps in walking.

I claim as my invention 7.

1; The combination with an undergarment, of a strip of tape sewed thereto at its ends upon the'under surface thereof and adapted to have the fastening devices of the steels of a corset passed through the same for connection therewith.

2. The combination with an undergarment, of a strip of tape sewed thereto at its respective ends upon the under surface thereof, and

at least one short length of crossing tape sewed thereto and to the undergarment forming of the strip of tape loops upon the under surface of the undergarment adapted for connection with the fastening devices of the steels of the corset.

3. A fabric section adapted to be sewedto the under surface of an undergarment, a strip 6 of tape connected thereto at its respective ends, one or more short transverse strips of tapes 0 crossing the same sewed thereto and 9 to the fabric section forming in. the strip 6 two or more loops adapted for connection with the fastening devices of the steels of the corset.

5. A fabric section adapted to be sewed to I the under surface of an undergarment, a tape sewed to one surface of said fabric section at its respective ends and at least one short length of tape crossing the same and sewed to the section and to the first-named tape 1 forming in the strip of tape at least two loops adapted for connection with the fastening devices of the steels of a corset.

6. The combination with an undergarment, of a strip of tape sewed thereto at its ends I and at, at least one intermediate place and upon the under surface thereof to form openings adapted for connection with the fastening devices of the steels of a corset.
