Description
UNITED STATES PATENT. OFFICE.
NORBERT CEIPEK, OF VIENNA, AUSTRIA-HUNGARY.
-EXPLOSIVE COMPO U N Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Aug. 15, 1905.
Application filed February 27, 1905. Serial No. 247,612.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, NORBERT OEIPEK, a sub ject of the Emperor of Austria-Hungary, residing at Vienna, Austria-Hungary, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Explosive Compounds, of which the following is a specification.
Explosives are known which-consist of ammonium nitrate and anilin nitrate. possess high shattering effect and have little tendency to ignite combustible gases when they explode. Hence they are particularly applicable in fiery mines. By my invention .explosives of this class are mixed With aluminium powder in order to enhance their shattering power.
The most advantageous mixture is from ten to fifteen parts of aluminium with from ninety to eighty-five parts of the ammonium nitrate They N ORBERT OEIPEK.
