Tliejobjectof this invention is to provide lhousekeepers Withaeonvenient article for-scrubbing and cleaning floors, or for use on board of ships tolscrub'hthve deck,or any'similar purpose; and it consists in a box mounted oon casters and-side-n'heels hung on an axis passing throi'gli th'e\box,eonnected by gear with a horizontal brush, that touches the-floor, and revolves to scrub the surface by drawingforpushing the box'about. ,This rotary .brush isveryeifeotive inscrubbing a door, and savles mueh hai-d labor performed by women, while it does tho Work with greater cleanliness than the-old method with' a hand scrubbing-brush, which splashes the dirty water on all sides.

The box is so arranged, also, thatit may' be used asa sprinkler. independently ofthe brush, or in connec, tion'with it, or may be changed into a mop for mapping the floor. v
