This invention relates to a perror hrush-holdamlhnrcrosseetinn of whichr at lenstt that plaeegwhere is' grasped 4by the fingers, and which may be .termed the linger-part,.represents a'triangle or a. gurc bordered by one curved and one lat side, in such a manner that a holder is obtained which affords a 'rm and convenient hold in the` hand, which :is easily made, and which is'notliable to turn Vinl the hand during the operation ofl -writing. The end of the holder is made triangular, so as'to fit thev-shape d.o r triangular socket of the pen or brush for which said holder is to be used. v

The' cnil of the pen or brush-holder is made triangular to fit the v-shaped so'eket a ot' the pen B, or the' triangular socket of o. brush, and the il'at surfaces of this triangular end are not parallel to o'r in line with the flat surface or surfaces of the Enger-part of the holder, so as to bring the pen attachoilto the lend of the holder. in the proper .position in Vrelation to th'e hand of the writer. v

By thesemeans a'penoi-.brush-holder is obtained which conveniently tits the triangular space between the linger-endsof the person handlingsaid holder, as shown in iig. 2, and the holder can be retained in tho-hand, and the -pen or brush attached to an ordinary round holder.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure 4Letters Patent, isf- A pen or brush-holder, the finger-part of which is made triangular to fit tho'spaee between the fingers grasping the same, and which is provided with n. triangular end, that is twisted inregard tothe n'ger-part, and

made to lit the V-shaped or triangular socket of a. p'en or brush, substantially as and'for the purposedescribed.
