Be it known that I, JAMES L. DUNNING, a

citizen of the United States, residing at Claymeans whereby the drawers may be prevented from binding.

In the drawings which form a part of this specification, Figure 1 is al longitudinal sectional view of a device embodying my invenltion. Fig. 2 is a transverse sectional view `showing the inner side of' the rear end of a drawer to which my invention is applied. Fig. 3 is an enlarged perspective View of the end of such drawer. Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the attachment with which I provide the drawer-casing. Fig. 5 is a top view of the attachment for the drawer which is shown in perspective in Fig. 3. Fig. 6 is a longitudinal sectional View of the drawer and casing, showing how the drawer may be removed from the casing. p

In the drawings the drawer is indicated by the numeral land the casing by the numeral 2. In the casing and above the drawer and at right angles to the back of the drawer I haveY provided the guide-bar 3, having upon its upper side the grooves i 4 and upon its lower face the channel 5. At 'its end nearest the front of the casing the guide-bar 3 is curved downwardly at the point indicated by the numeral 6. f Upon the inner face of the back of the drawer the plate or bracket 7 is mounted, which plate 7 carries the vertical rollers S and horizontal roller 9, the rollers S being adapted to engage in the grooves et and the roller 9 being adapted to engage with the channel 45, as shown in section in Fig. 2.

The back of the drawer is cut away at the point indicated by the numeral 10, so as to permit of the drawer, with its attachments, being readily inserted or withdrawn from the Serial No; 153,716. (No model.) v

The weight of the load carried by the drawer is thus carried by the rollers 8,while the roller .9 prevents lateral movement ofthe drawer.

The front of the casing 2.is provided with the beveled edges indicated by the numeral 11,-and ,the front of the drawer 1 is beveled at the point indicated bythe numeral 12 to iit accurately intothe casing.

The drawer is provided upon its'front side 6c with the handle 13 of any desired form.

'By these means I have provided a drawer whose operation is practically free from binding and in which the friction is reduced to a minimum.

Having thus described my invention, what YI claim as new, and desire to have secured to me by the grant of Letters Patent, is

1. A device of the class named,consisting of ya drawer provided at its back with .a bracket, 7o a horizontal roller and two vertical rollers carried by the bracket, `a casing adapted to receive the drawer, a guide mounted within the casing provided with grooves with which the vertical rollers are adapted to engage and 75 with a channel with which the horizontal roller y Iis adapted to engage, substantially as de-` scribed.

2. A device of the class named,consisting of a drawer kprovided at its back with a bracket, 8o ahorizontal roller and two vertical rollers carriedv .by the bracket, a casing adapted to receive the drawer, a guide mounted within the casing provided with grooves with which .the
