T0 ALL WHOM IT MAY CONGERN:
Beit known that I, NEAL N. BROWN, of Reading, in the county of Berks, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Pie-Rimmers and .flo hereby declare that the'fcllowing is'a, full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specication.
In the annexed drawings, A represents the handle, which is a dat metal bar, having a curved marker, a,
on one end, and provided with two pairs of metal ears= B C, on the other. These ears are formed at right angles with the handle A, and project opposite from each other, the ears B being larger than the earsAC, as shown. Both pairs of said ears are provided with small slots on their extremities, between which slots are secured the rollers D and E. The roller E is of metal, provided with a flange on the outer edge, while the circumference of the same is corrugated, having a circumferential groove in the centre of said corrugations. The shaft of this roller is cast with the roller, thereby forming journals for the same, obviating the necessity of drilling a hole through the roller for a, shaft. The journals of this roller are placed between .the slots in the end of the ears B, and the outer points of said ears compressed together around the journals, so as to secure the roller. D represents a crimped roller, which is secured between the ears C in asimilar manner to the roller E. Both of. these rollers readily revolve in their. places, for cutting, crimping, and marking the pastry in the llual manner. Y
Being aware that crimpd and'corrugated rollers are in use connected to a handle. I make no claim thereto.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The plate-handle A, with marker a at one end and ears B C at the'other, said ears being slotted," as described, securing the roller E, by means of its journals and the roller D, the whole being constructed and arranged l NEAL N. BROWN. Witnesses:
