'IO ALL, WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that we, ALFRED A. GRAY and WILLIAM C. HYDE, of Athe city of Detroit, in the 'county of Wayne, State of Michigan, have invented a new and useful machine designed to be applied in the A djustment of Looking-Glass in Dressing-Cases, and wherever a rotary motion is required, which will facilitate the removal of and afford the requisite motion; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective back view, with all the parts A B C D E in workingposition.

This is the mode of adjustment. The socket C, as seen in fig. 3, consisting of parts A B C, is fastened by screws through the projecting plates F and G to a movable upright or horizontal frame, as the oase may be. What we claim as our invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The hinge and movable hinge-plate, the. thumb-screw or screw that secures the hinge-plate, and the mode of adjustment, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
