PRlNTlNGEFEM E..
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 703,672, dated July l, 1902. Application filed March 8,1902. Serial No. 97,375. (No model) To @ZZ whom it may concern.- of the leaves, I mount a sucker on the in- Beit known that I, JAMES MICHAEL SMITH, side face of one or both. The sucker I prefer of the city of Montreal, in the district of Monto use consists of a soft-rubber saucer fr'. In treal and Province of Quebec, Canada, have practice I have found that it is only neces- 55 5 invented certain new and useful Improvesary to mount the sucker upon the larger ments in Printing-Frames; and I do hereby leaf, as that one is almost invariably used.

Upon the leaf sistin providing means 'for automatically liftspringing out and drawing the print with it ing from the negative the portion of the print it will trip upon the said projecting arm of held thereupon by one of the hinged halves of the angular device and turn same upon its the back when the device for retaining said pivotrto a position with its other arm project- 7o zo half is displaced; also, providing means for ing across the inner sido of the print, thereby supporting the print away from the negative retaining it in a position to be inspected while the frame is open. without the necessity of touching it with the For full comprehension, however, of my infingers7 while the offset end j of the firstvention reference must be had to the aceommentioned arm prevents it slipping beneath 75 z5 panying drawings, forming a part of this the turned-up leaf of the back.
