Be it known that I, OTTO HEINRICH CHRIS- TIAN Voler, residing at Lbeck, in the GermanEmpire, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Label-Holders for Bottles and the Like, of which the following is a specification.
My present invention relates to a device by means of which labels, tickets, or such likemay be attached to bottles for the purpose of their exhibition in shop-windows, and the device is so constructed that it can beeasilyati tached or removed and that the labelv secured on the bottle itself or any other decorative matter on said bottle is not in any way cov ered nor the cork and seal injured.
The device consists, essentially, of two arms suitably bent to carry the label or the like and of a ring Whose diameter Vcan be adjusted. The device-maybe constructed of.
Wire or any other suitable material.
In the accompanying drawings, representing my invention, Figure l is a perspectiveA two arms c for supporting the label have the same shape and are formed by bending the ends of the Wire from which the ring d is formed. In order to enable the adjustment of the diameter .of the ring a, so that it may t various-sizes of bottles, are provided the serpentine-shaped bends d, which form a part of the ring a. What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
1. A label-holder for bottles comprising a ring provided with arms to supportthe label and bent for a portion of its circumference into a Y serpentine shape adapted to enable theadjust'ment of the diameter of the ring, substantiallyas described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Y
2.l Alabel-holdercomprisingasinglestrand of wire formed first into a ring, the ends of said wire being then bent upright to form .parallel arms for supportingthe label, a portion of said ringrprovided with a number of bends whereby the diameter of the ring may be lessened or enlarged for the purpose and substantiallyas described. Y 3. A label-*holder for bottles consisting o a single strand ot wirepne end of which being bent to'form a supporting-arm, 'the opposite end being bent upon itself to form short bends for a portion of its length adapted to engage said supporting-arm, and then bent parallelwith the other end of said Wire and forming a second supporting-arm, the whole so constructed and arranged that the diameter of the ring may be varied in order to tit bottles of different sizes, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
