ATTACHMENT-FOR RUBBISH CARTS.
. SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 685,681, dated October 29, 1901.

Be it known that I, EDWARD HASEY, a citilzen of the United States, residing at Boston,
in the county of Suffolk and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, have invented. certain new and useful Improvements in Attachments for Rubbish-Carts, of which the following is a specification My invention relates to improvements in attachments for rubbish carts and the like, whereby they may be quickly unloaded; and the object of the invention is to provide a simple, convenient, and effective attachment which may be readily applied to any of the carts now in use without necessitating any change whatever in the construction.
The invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1. is a -sectional elevation of the wagonrbody with the invention applied there-. to. Fig. 2 is a plan view.
In the drawings, A represents a wagon-body which may be of the ordinary box construction designed to receive waste paper and similar rubbish and having the usual removable end-board a. To the rear of the flooring-body I secure a plurality of chains B by means of screw-eyes I). These chains unite at their opposite end in a ringer loop 6, designed to engage with a suitable hook at the front end of the wagon; When the'c'art is to be loaded, the chains extend forward upon the floor of the wagon-body, and the material to be loaded 1 on the vehicle is piled upon the chains. When it is desired to empty the wagon, the ring or loop at the forward end of the chains is engaged with an ordinary block and tackle,
