Letters Patent No. 68,289, dated August 27, 1867.

IMPROVEMENT 'IN SHEEP-SHEARING TABLES.

TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that we, CHARLES J. CORLETT, WAREN D. SHERMAN, NICHOLAS WoLnn, and CHARLES HUSTON, 0f Clarkston,'in the county of Oakland, in the State of Michigan, have inventctla new and useful Improvement igi Sheep-Shearing Tables and we do hereby declare that the following is a trueand accurate description thereof, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, being a part of this specification.

In building our table we make the centre of it fiat, a, with sloping ends, 0 0. Upon a proper standard we place a wheel, A, to which are attached the cords B B, with which to fasten the hind legs of the sheep to be sheared.

Near the opposite end of the table we place the eye-bolts E E, to which are attached the snap C and the cord D,

with which to fasten the fore legs of the sheep, as may be required. F is a hook, fastened to the table K by the clip d which is for the purpose of holding the neck'of the sheep, The table K is placed upon proper legs or frame, and is secured to the frame by any suitable device that will allow the front i to be elevated or depressed at will, and the hooked lever H fitting into holes g g to hold the table at the desired angle or incline.

What we claim as our invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- I The combination and arrangement of the revolving wheel A, the cords B B, the snap C, the cord D, the eye-#bnlts E E,the hook F, the hooked lever H, with the adjustable table K, all arranged substantially as described forthe purpose designed.
