Description

UNTTED STATES PATENT OEEIOE.
JOHN KLINE, OF EELoiT, WISCONSIN.
DRAINER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 678,404, dated July 16, 1901.
Application filed March 9, 190`1.
To @ZZ whom t may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOHN KLINE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Beloit, in the county of Rock and State of Wisconsin, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Drainers, of which the following'is a specification.
The object of this invention is to construct a drainer especially adapted for use in connection with bars on which the glasses are placed after being washed.
Inthe accompanying drawings, Figure l is an isometrical representation of myimproved drainer. Fig. 2 is an isometrical representation of the rack. Fig. 3 is an isometrical representation of the rack-support. Fig. 4 is an isometrical representation of a drainboard,- showing my improvements in connection therewith. g
The rack-support comprises au inclined bottom 1, edges 2, an outwardly-extending ange 3, a depending lip 4, and corner portions 5, connecting with the lip and edges. The rack comprises the side angle-bars 6 and the transverse bars 7, connecting the anglebars. The side angle-bars of the rack rest on the outwardly-extending iiange of the rack-support in a removable manner. The
drainer is supported bythe liange 8, resting Serial No. 50,500. (No model.)
upon bars 8, in a manner to permit of its removal.
With the drainer in the position shown at Fig. l the rack will occupy a horizontal position, and the bottom being inclined will carry the drippings to the lowest end and discharge them over the lip 4, which will direct them into a suitable receptacle.
At Fig. 4f is shown a drain-board with my improvements in connection therewith. The bars 8 are supported upon legs 9. A Workboard lO is supported bythe bars. In this figure of the drawings are shown four of my improved drainers, and between' each pair is located a basin 11, into which the water from two of the drainers drips. 1
I claim as my inventiono A drainer comprising a rack and a racksupport, the support having an inclined bottom, supporting-iianges and a downwardlyextending lip, andthe rack having side angle# bars, and bars connecting the vertical portion of the angle-bars, the horizontal portions of the angle bars adapted to rest upon the' iianges of the rack-support.
