SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent N 0. 672,321, dated April 16, 1901.
Application filed July 1'7, 1900. Serial No. 23,958. (No model.)
To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANCIS FRAZIER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Scottsdale, in the county of Maricopa and Territory of Arizona, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Badges; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
The invention relates generally to the badges by which clubs identify their members, so that they will be easily recognized by the public. This badge is secured to the clothing by a spring-pin, which is arranged in a cross-slot, so as to entirely remove the fastening from sight.
Figure 1 of the drawings is a front View showing the curved convex face of the medallion with the national colors thereon. Fig.
2 is a back or rear view of the medallion, showing its flat face with the slot and the pin therein; and Fig. 3 is a cross-section on the line w 00 of Fig. 2.
In the drawings, A represents the front face of the medallion, colored so as to show the national colors, while 13 represents the flat back face with the slot b, in which is arranged a spring-pin 0, one of whose ends is soldered in the said slot. The pin is preferably curved at the free end and made to catch on a shoulder or hook 0, so as to keep the pin out of sight and in the slot.
Having thus described all that is necessary to a full understanding of my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to protect by Leto ters Patent, is
As a new article of manufacture, a medal lion-badge having a convex front face, a flat back face with a slot therein, and a spring-pin arranged in said slot,,su bstantially as shown
