IMPROVEMENT IN WELL-TUBING.
TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that we, Lnwrs F. RIDER and Jens W. Funny, of Hornellsville, in the county of Steuben, State of New York, have invented certain new-and useful Improvements in Point for driving the tubular wells and shields to prevent quieksand and clay from filling up the water'pipe; and the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making a. part of this specification, in whicht Figure 1 represents the point, shield, ands-lower section of thetubing, all together in position for driving.
Figure 2 shows the same parts as fig. 1, the point detached, with shield drawn up.
-Figure 3 shows the shield detached from the lower section of pipe.
Figure 4 shows another form of the point.
