TO ALL WI-IOM IT MAY CONCERN: l Be it known that I, 'SYLvEsTEn I1. TrdicY, of Clev eland,county of Cuyahoga, inthe State of Ohio, have invented n. new and improved Combination-Wrench; and I do hereby declare that the following is a. full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings and to the letters'of reference marked thereon.

This improvement consists in combining in one implement an adjustable wrench, a vise`,a screw-driver, and a hammer of convenient form, arnlpossessing economy, utility, and eiciency.

On one end of this handle I make 4 an adjustable wrench, D, and on the other a vise, E. .In the groove B there is a screw-driver, C, 'which is provided with a screw, z', and nnt,j; the nntj is round, fills the opening' O, and is corrugated on the circumference, and is used to propel the scrowdriver in and ont when desired. l One jaw, D,'of Athe wrench-head D is fixed, and has a diagonal groove, F, in which there is a stationary nut, f; the adjustable jawD, Iig. 6, is provided with a thnmb-set screw,'b,'which works in the nntf; the jaw also slides in the rabbets e e, for the purpose of giving the wrenchsnicient strength. and allow the screw-driver'to pass ont each side of the screw g, or it might pass by the screw g on one side. When the screw-driver is extended for use the jaws of the vise may be closed upon it, thus giving it sui'licient strength. 'H is a claw-hammer, andis a part of the wrench-head D. This implement may be 'cast iron, malleable, and of different sizes. I

A n improved implement, constructed in thc manner above described, combines several essential qualities, chief among which is economy, also utility and durability, embracing in its construction a variety of tools required daily bythe artisan and farmer. The wrench being adjustable, is capable of being employed to turn a large range of screw-nuts and bolts. The vise is also applicable toa great variety of uses for which a. small vise and pincers are frequently required; the screw-driver and hammer also rendering it of great utility for the purposes for which these tools areconstantly needed.

What I claim as my improvement, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
