TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM MYLER, of Bridgeport, in the county of Belmont, and State of Ohio, have invented a new and useful improved Composition for Roofing; andI (lo hereby declare the following to be a. full, clear, and exact description of the some, sufficient to enable one skilled in the art to which the invention apperteins to make and use the some. t
This composition is composed of the following ingredients, which are mixed together in about the propertions specified, namely: coal tar, twelve parts; pine tar, one part; soap-stone, twelve parts; ochre or other oxide, one part; hydraulic cement, four parts. v
The composition is spread by a. trowel 0r brush in a. thin coat over the roof or other surface to be protected. It soon becomes hard and solid, is impervious to water, resists the solar beet, and neither runs nor cracks.
I do not confine myself to the exact proportions stated, but what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- The combination of coal tar, pine tar, soap-stone, ochre orother oxide, and hydraulic cement, substantially as specified.
